One Diver’s Perspective.

Scuba, Photography and Scandal

Colleen

One Diver’s Perspective would not be complete without a tab for Colleen.  Colleen is an incredibly special woman, who deciding that she wished to dive, traveled by herself to Cozumel to learn how. We met at a “scuba diving Christmas Party” started dating and fell in love.  And, of course, we are dive buddies.

Colleen wanted to dive with the sharks, and so we went to the Bahamas where we dived with “Mr. Big.”

  1. So beautiful. I have never dived, maybe I should try it someday. Mr. Big is so big. I am a little fear of him, but wanna be close to him. Thank you for sharing.

    • Well, I can certainly appreciate both the desire to dive, and the fear of Mr. Big. I’d like to assure anybody who is interested in diving, but not interested in sharks, that you will probably never see a shark (other than a nurse shark sleeping) unless you dive where the dive operator puts food in the water to attract the sharks. In other words, our oceans are so deprived of sharks due to the countless millilons that are killed every year by man, that it is a rarity to see sharks anywhere in the “wild”, though in some areas of the world that is not the case. Even so, if you encounter them “in the wild” (i.e., without food to lure them), the encounter will be at a distance as they have no interest in divers.

  2. I admire you guys for your love of adventure! I don’t think shark diving is for me, but how wonderful it is that you found a life partner and dive buddy in one! Love you guys!
